My 2016 Obstacle race season has started well. The main aim is to achieve the “medallion of honour” (Dirty Dozen trifecta) www.thedirtydash.com . I completed the Dirty Dash race (6km) in May, with the Dirty Dozen (12km) race coming in July, before the Dirty Destroyer (21km) race finishing my OCR season off in August. In the middle of this I threw in and completed the Nuclear rush race www.nuclear-races.co.uk . The course had as one of its obstacles the world record Monkey Bars, 119 meteres. This obstacle was around the 9km mark of a 12km course, which had a total of 96 Obstacles! Happy in achieving 30 metres of monkey bars before the right hand lost its grip.
Building up the volume of obstacles, and increasing the muscular, and cardiovascular endurance in my training session. As well as practicing techniques for the more technical obstacles.
